Overview
A donor-funded scholarship supporting financially needy Malaysian students with strong SPM results to pursue selected Foundation programmes at TAR UMT.
Programmes Covered
- Foundation in Science (Year 1, Semester 1)
- Foundation in Computing (Year 1, Semester 1)
Eligibility
- Citizen of Malaysia
- Minimum 5As in SPM (or equivalent) and at least a C in all other subjects
- Financially needy: total monthly income of parents/guardian is RM5,000 and below
What It Covers
- University fees as per student bill
- Tenure: normal duration to complete the Foundation programme
Terms & Conditions
- No concurrent financial assistance without prior written consent of the Scholarship Administrators
- Renewable every semester at the absolute discretion of the Scholarship Administrators, subject to satisfactory academic performance and conduct
- Maintain a CGPA of 2.75 every semester
- Award is disbursed via the TAR UMT Department of Finance

How to Apply
- Download the application form from the Financial Aid section of the TAR UMT website at the beginning of the June semester
- Submit/email the completed form with relevant documents to the Centre for Pre-University Studies (CPUS) Office or mailbox at [email protected] before the closing date stated in the form
- Only shortlisted applicants will be called for an interview by the Centre for Pre-University Studies; only successful applicants will be notified
