The Program Ijazah Sarjana Muda Perguruan (PISMP) is a teacher training programme offered by the Institut Pendidikan Guru Malaysia, Ministry of Education Malaysia to prepare future teachers for primary schools in Malaysia.
Under this programme, students are trained to become primary school teachers for Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK), Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina (SJKC), and Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil (SJKT).
The programme combines foundation studies and a Bachelor of Education degree, conducted at teacher training campuses across Malaysia.
Duration of Study
The PISMP programme normally takes 5 years:
- 1 year – Preparatory/Foundation Programme (PPISMP)
- 4 years – Bachelor of Education (PISMP)
Students will undergo academic training, teaching practice in schools, and professional development.
