  Manipal University College Malaysia (MUCM) is a reputed private university college in Malaysia offering programmes in Foundation in Science, Medicine, Dentistry, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Psychology.   Mr. Gaurav Rekhi believes that healthcare should serve better, for patients, for professionals, and for the holistic system. 

  His focus has always been on improving how care is delivered, while also shaping education that prepares future healthcare professionals for what the real world looks like given recent advancement.

   He is especially passionate about bringing healthcare and education closer together, so that learning is not just theoretical, but practical, relevant and meaningful.

  Contributions to the Institution

  As Chief Operating Officer overseeing Manipal’s international campuses in Malaysia and Dubai, Mr. Gaurav Rekhi plays a strategic role in strengthening institutional alignment across both campuses by ensuring that academic, operational, and strategic priorities move cohesively. His leadership focuses on creating stronger systems, improving cross-campus coordination, and ensuring that both institutions continue to grow with clarity, consistency, and purpose.

  Drawing from more than two decades of leadership experience spanning Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, Mr. Gaurav brings a practical, systems-based approach to institutional development, emphasising governance, operational excellence, and long-term sustainability. He works closely with diverse teams across functions to enhance planning, streamline execution, and strengthen collaboration between academic delivery and industry relevance.

  A key part of his contribution is ensuring that students across both campuses are prepared not only academically, but also with the practical understanding needed to thrive in evolving healthcare and professional landscapes. By fostering alignment between education, institutional performance, and real-world expectations, he continues to support Manipal’s reputation as a globally connected institution committed to quality and student success.

  With leadership spanning healthcare systems, academic institutions, and international operations, Mr. Gaurav Rekhi brings a unique cross-sector perspective to the education industry.
