UPU Results 2026 for SPM Leavers Released Today

he Ministry of Higher Education has announced that the results for applications to Universiti Awam (UA), Institusi Pendidikan Tinggi Awam (IPTA), and MARA Bahagian Pendidikan Tinggi (MARA BPT) for SPM leavers are released today, 22 May 2026.

The results are for admission into Certificate, Foundation and Diploma programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session. Students can check their application results from 12.00 noon on 22 May 2026 until 5.00pm on 31 May 2026.

Students are advised to check their results within the stated period and follow the instructions provided by the relevant institution.

Acceptance of Offer

Candidates who receive an offer must confirm their acceptance between 23 and 31 May 2026 through the official website of the respective UA, IPTA or MARA BPT institution.

According to the Ministry of Higher Education, official offer letters will be issued by the relevant institutions from 23 May 2026, after candidates have completed their acceptance confirmation.

Appeal Application

Only applicants who were unsuccessful or who received an offer for a certificate-level programme may submit an appeal through UPUOnline.

The appeal period is open for 10 days, from 22 May 2026 at 12.00 noon until 31 May 2026 at 5.00pm. Appeals to Kolej Komuniti can be made directly to the respective institution without going through UPUOnline.

Programme Change Not Allowed

The Ministry also stated that offers for the 2026/2027 academic session are final, and requests to change programmes are not allowed.

Appeal outcomes will depend on the availability of places in the relevant programmes after the registration of new students has been completed.

What Should Students Do Next?

Students who receive an offer should check the acceptance deadline carefully and complete the confirmation process on time.

Those who are unsuccessful, or who did not receive the programme level they hoped for, may consider submitting an appeal if eligible. They may also explore other study pathways, including private universities and colleges, foundation programmes, diploma programmes, scholarships and alternative entry routes.
