The Bachelor of Islamic Finance (Honours) programme aims to produce competent students with good knowledge in Islamic finance.
According to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), the globalisation trend of the Islamic finance industry has encouraged foreign financial institutions to make Malaysia a preferred destination for Islamic finance transactions. Recognising the challenges arising from liberalisation and globalisation, it is important to understand the Islamic finance industry as a financial intermediary and a major source of financing for the domestic economy.
Under this programme, students will be exposed to various courses including banking management, basic finance, fundamentals of Islamic finance management, accounting, economics, marketing, management, business mathematics and statistics, communication, information technology, and legal regulations.
Graduates of this programme may further their studies in Islamic finance at any public or private institution locally or abroad.
The Bachelor of Islamic Finance (Honours) is recognised by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and the Islamic Banking and Finance Institute Malaysia (IBFIM).
Graduates will be awarded the Intermediate Qualification of Islamic Finance (IQIF) by IBFIM upon completion.
