Building and property management involves managing third-party properties for a fee or commission. The field covers the management, investment, purchase, sale, rental, servicing, use and valuation of properties to maximise returns for investors.
UTAR's Bachelor of Building and Property Management (Honours) provides a foundation for a career in professional property services. The programme equips students with comprehensive and relevant knowledge and skills in real estate valuation, transactions, property management and investment.
Upon graduation, graduates may register with the Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers as Probationary Valuers or Probationary Estate Agents. The programme is also recognised by the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia.
Professional Recognition and Accreditation
Graduates may register as Probationary Valuers or Probationary Estate Agents with BOVAEP. Those who fulfil RISM's membership requirements may be eligible to use the professional prefix “Sr”.
