Software engineering covers the systematic and measurable development of software throughout its life cycle, including analysis, design, testing, implementation, modification and maintenance.
The Bachelor of Software Engineering (Honours) provides intensive coverage of the techniques, principles and tools used across the software development life cycle. The programme has a strong practical focus, with advanced programming in widely used languages and frameworks that allows students to apply theoretical concepts through hands-on software development.
Students are also introduced to artificial intelligence, data mining, cloud computing, game engine programming, networking and cybersecurity. A final-year project allows them to explore current research and technology topics in software engineering.
Formerly known as Bachelor of Science (Honours) Software Engineering.
