Mechatronics engineering combines mechanical engineering, electronics, computer engineering and information technology. It covers technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, automation systems, precision engineering and microelectromechanical systems.
The Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering with Honours develops knowledge in intelligent sensors, industrial automation, robotics, actuators, microsystems and advanced control and decision-making strategies.
The programme is designed in response to developments associated with Industry 4.0. It prepares students to solve engineering problems through logical, critical and creative thinking while developing the communication and professional skills needed to work effectively in the industry.
