Course Overview

Telecommunications engineering focuses on how modern communication systems are designed, built, tested and maintained. It covers areas such as communication electronics, digital signal processing, signal coding, optical communications, broadband multimedia communications and fixed broadband networks.

The Bachelor of Telecommunications Engineering with Honours develops the practical and theoretical knowledge needed to work in the rapidly changing telecommunications industry.

Students are introduced to technologies that support next-generation networks, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, the Internet of Things and cloud computing. Selected artificial intelligence and communications subjects are taught by Huawei Certified Academy Instructors, helping students build knowledge relevant to Huawei Certified ICT Associate certification.
