Course Overview

The Bachelor of Education (Invention) with Honours is designed to prepare future-ready educators who are innovative, ethical, and skilled in applying critical and creative thinking to teaching and learning. This programme equips students with the ability to plan, manage, and deliver effective instruction in the subject of Invention at the secondary school level, while fostering positive values and professionalism in education. By combining strong theoretical foundations with hands-on practice, the programme ensures graduates are capable of meeting the demands of 21st-century education while remaining adaptable, ethical, and committed to lifelong learning.

Entry Requirements

General Requirements:

SPM
Possess the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with at least:

• Grade C in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Melayu (July Paper).
• Grade E in History (from 2013 onwards).

AND

STPM
Pass the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) examination with at least:

• A minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.00.
• Grade C in General Studies (Pengajian Am).
• TWO (2) Grade Cs in any other subjects not already counted.

AND

MUET

• Obtain at least Band 1.0 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for examinations starting from Session 1 of 2021, with a validity period of 5 years from the date the test results are released.

Specific Requirements:

• Obtain at least a CGPA of 2.75 at the STPM level.
• Obtain at least Grade C in ONE (1) of the following subjects at the SPM level:
  • Invention / Mechanical Engineering Studies / Civil Engineering Studies / Electrical & Electronic Engineering Studies / Engineering Drawing / Science / Physics / Chemistry / Biology / Graphic Design / Basic Sustainability / Technical Communication Graphics / Additional Science
• Obtain at least Grade C in ONE (1) of the following subjects at the SPM level:
  • Mathematics / Additional Mathematics
• Obtain at least Band 2.0 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for results obtained from Session 1 of 2021 onwards, with a validity period of 5 years from the date the test results are released.
• Meet the minimum requirement of the Malaysian Educators Selection Inventory (MEdSI) test set by the Public University.
• Pass the test and/or interview set by the Public University.

Note:
This programme is a Bachelor of Education degree programme that does not guarantee appointment as an Education Service Officer (teacher) under the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE) upon graduation.
