Course Overview

Entry Requirements

General Requirements:

SPM
Possess the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with at least:

• Grade C in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Melayu (July Paper).
• Grade E in History (from 2013 onwards).

AND

STPM
Pass the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) examination with at least:

• A minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.00.
• Grade C in General Studies (Pengajian Am).
• TWO (2) Grade Cs in any other subjects not already counted.

AND

MUET

• Obtain at least Band 1.0 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for examinations starting from Session 1 of 2021, with a validity period of 5 years from the date the test results are released.

Specific Requirements:

• Obtain at least a CGPA of 2.75 at the STPM level.
• Obtain at least Grade C in ONE (1) of the following subjects at the SPM level:
  • Invention / Mechanical Engineering Studies / Civil Engineering Studies / Electrical & Electronic Engineering Studies / Engineering Drawing / Science / Physics / Chemistry / Biology / Graphic Design / Basic Sustainability / Technical Communication Graphics / Additional Science
• Obtain at least Grade C in ONE (1) of the following subjects at the SPM level:
  • Mathematics / Additional Mathematics
• Obtain at least Band 2.0 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for results obtained from Session 1 of 2021 onwards, with a validity period of 5 years from the date the test results are released.
• Meet the minimum requirement of the Malaysian Educators Selection Inventory (MEdSI) test set by the Public University.
• Pass the test and/or interview set by the Public University.

Note:
This programme is a Bachelor of Education degree programme that does not guarantee appointment as an Education Service Officer (teacher) under the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE) upon graduation.
