Applicants must:

Be a Malaysian citizen with a valid MyKad.
Possess SPM with at least:
- Grade C in Bahasa Melayu
- Grade E in Sejarah (History)
- Two (2) other subjects with Grade C

Applicants must also achieve:

Grade C in Mathematics, and
Grade C in ONE (1) of the following subjects:
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology
- Mechanical Engineering Studies
- Civil Engineering Studies
- Electrical & Electronic Engineering Studies
- Engineering Drawing
- Technical Communication Graphics
- Sustainability Fundamentals
- Invention
- Science / Additional Science
- Computer Science

In addition:

Grade E in English
