Business economics is concerned with economic issues and problems related to business organization, management, and strategy. It deals with issues and problems that include: an explanation of why firms emerge and exist; why they expand: the role of entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship; the significance of organizational structure; the relationship of firms with the employees, the interactions between firms and the business environment. To ensure continues supply of experts in this area, the Faculty of Business Management, UiTM offers the programme of Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons.) Business Economics. This programme aims to produce graduates who are dynamic, competent and competitive in the field of business, economics and management to meet the current industrial demand.
Students enrolled into this programme will also be equipped with ICT skills to enable them to effectively involve in business, economics and entrepreneurial activities especially in this e-economic era. Courses offered in the programme include Micro- and Macroeconomic Analysis, Information technology in Business, Financial Management and Accounting, Environmental and International Economics and Business Forecasting.
Graduates can have job opportunities at managerial and executive levels in any public and private organization. They can also become economic, business and investment analysts, researchers and entrepreneurs.
