Course Overview

The Bachelor of Mass Communication (Honours) Journalism programme has been carefully designed with inputs from industry experts and scholars to produce passionate aspiring journalists who meet market demands and stay ahead of their competitors. Students will be exposed to a variety of journalistic writing and reporting that include conducting research and investigations. They also learn to evaluate and present critical information for both market and societal needs. Entry Requirements

Minimum Entry Requirements

English Proficiency

  • IELTS 5.0 / MUET Band 3.5 or its equivalent

Matriculation / Pre-University / Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) programme or equivalent

  • Pass with a minimum of grade C (CGPA 2.0) in TWO (2) subjects AND a credit in English at SPM level

General Certificate of Education Advanced (“A”) Level Pass

  • A Level or equivalent with a minimum of grade D in TWO (2) subjects AND a credit in English at O level

Unified Examination Certificate (UEC)

  • Pass with a minimum grade B IN five (5) subjects including English

Recognised Diploma in a related field

  • Pass with a minimum CGPA 2.00 and a credit in English at SPM level or its equivalent

Other Qualifications

  • Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government
