Course Overview
The field of psychology is an ever-growing field with increasing demand in today’s fast-moving and high-pressure society. Psychology spans both natural and social sciences, and this degree aims to help students understand human behaviour and mental processes.
Through this programme, students will gain insight into how people think, act and feel; why people behave the way they do; what shapes personality; and how people learn and change throughout life. The programme also helps students understand people’s motivations, perceptions and behaviour.

Entry Requirements
STPM / A-Levels
- A pass in STPM / A-Levels with a minimum of Grade C, GP 2.00, in any two (2) subjects.
STAM
- A pass in STAM with a minimum grade of Jayyid.
Matriculation / Pre-Medical Course / Foundation
This includes Foundation in Science, Humanities or Business.
- A Certificate in Matriculation or Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00.
Diploma, Level 4 MQF, in any field
- Minimum CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00.
Advanced Diploma, Level 5 MQF, in relevant fields
- Minimum CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00.
Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Equivalent Programmes
Equivalent programmes include Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) and Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM).
- Subject to HEP Senate / Academic Board approval.
- The approval is subject to screening and appropriate bridging courses in Mathematics and Science.
Other relevant equivalent qualifications
- Qualifications recognised by the Malaysian government as equivalent to the above requirements may be considered.
Notes:
- SPM or O Level pre-requisites apply.
- All the above qualifications need to be supported with at least credits in Mathematics and Biology / Physics / Chemistry / General Science / Applied Science, and a pass in English at SPM level.
