Course Overview

Our Foundation in Science is geared towards helping students get a head start in their chosen field of Health Sciences. Offering a blend of subjects, the FIS programme serves as an academic bridge specially designed to equip students with the fundamental knowledge needed for a smooth transition into undergraduate studies.

Through this 1-year programme, students will be empowered with essential knowledge and mentored to develop their study and learning skills.

• Guaranteed pathway into MBBS / BDS, subject to meeting entry requirements.
• Over 1,500 patient beds available for clinical experience training via tie-ups with major local hospitals and healthcare centres.
• Over 30,000 patients a year available for BDS clinical experience training on-site.

Entry Requirements

Malaysian Applicants

SPM or equivalent with Grade B in:

• Biology
• Chemistry
• Physics
• Mathematics / Additional Mathematics
• Any other subject, except Art/Humanities

UEC with minimum of B4 in:

• Biology
• Chemistry
• Physics / Mathematics / Additional Mathematics

Important Notice:

• Entry requirement for students who wish to continue into other science-related programmes upon completion of the FIS programme: SPM or equivalent with 5 credits inclusive of Mathematics and two (2) Science subjects: Biology, Chemistry or Physics.
• The entry requirement for medical and dental programmes is subject to revision by regulatory authorities.
• The minimum age requirement for entry into a medical programme is 18 years old during admissions.
• Malaysian citizens seeking employment in the public sector must fulfil the criteria set by the Public Services Commission of Malaysia (SPA).

For Dental aspirants:

The following subjects are excluded from the list of “Any Other Subject” in SPM / O Level or equivalent:
