The Diploma in Healthcare is designed to provide students with the essential knowledge, skills, and practical training needed to pursue a rewarding career in the healthcare sector. This programme equips learners with a strong foundation in medical sciences, healthcare management, and patient care practices, preparing them to contribute effectively in a wide range of healthcare settings.
Students will develop a comprehensive understanding of healthcare systems, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, health informatics, and the fundamentals of clinical practice. The curriculum also integrates business, ethics, and communication skills, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for both clinical and administrative roles.
Through a combination of classroom learning, laboratory work, and practical exposure, students gain real-world experience and confidence to meet the growing demands of the healthcare industry.
Upon completion, graduates will be equipped to take on entry-level roles in hospitals, clinics, community health organisations, and medical laboratories, or progress to bachelor’s degree programmes in fields such as Nursing, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Biomedical Science, and Public Health
General Requirements
SPM/O-Levels: Possess SPM or equivalent with PASS in Bahasa Malaysia and English and Three (3) Credits in the following subjects:
? Mathematics or ONE Science subject (Biology/Physics/Chemistry/General Science); and
? Any other TWO subject (including Bahasa Malaysia and/or English)
STPM/A-level A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum grade of C in ONE (1) subject [Grade Point (GP) 2.00]
STAM A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Maqbul (Pass)
SKM
Possess SKM Level 3 in a related field
Others
Other relevant and equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.
