Course Overview

The Diploma in Medical and Health Sciences is designed to train competent multi-skilled health professionals to meet the needs of an ever-expanding allied health field. The programme combines formal education with practical experience to help students master the complex body of knowledge and specialized skills necessary for a successful career in health promotion, disease prevention, and illness management at the primary care level.

Entry Requirements

LOCAL STUDENT

• Passed SPM or equivalent with at least FIVE (5) credits including:
  • Bahasa Melayu/ Bahasa Malaysia;
  • Science subjects: Biology or Chemistry; OR Physics and passed Biology; OR Science/General Science/Applied science;
  • Mathematics or Additional Mathematics;
• TWO (2) credits from any other subjects; AND
• Pass in English.
• Must be certified medically fit (free from mental illness, physical/sensory disabilities, infectious diseases, epilepsy, and drug abuse).

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT

• GCE O-Level or its equivalent with FIVE (5) credits:
  • TWO (2) from Science or Mathematics (Biology/ Physics/ Chemistry/ General Science);
  • THREE (3) from any other subjects;
• Pass in English OR relevant qualifications approved by MAB.
• Must be certified medically fit.
