Course Overview

The Bachelor of Economics (Honours) programme is designed to provide a strong foundation in economic knowledge and theory, and to enhance students' critical and analytical skills.

The course structure is designed to produce graduates with knowledge in economics, applied statistics, development studies, administrative and political studies.

This programme teaches students to critically analyse and solve world economic problems. Students learn how to apply skills to various economic issues, both domestically and internationally.

It is intellectually challenging as it aims to develop students' ability to logically analyse economic aspects affecting the community.

Entry Requirements

Entry Requirements

1. STPM or equivalent: Pass with minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in any two subjects; AND Pass SPM or equivalent: Pass Mathematics and English.
2. STAM: Pass with minimum grade Jayyid; AND Pass SPM or equivalent: Pass Mathematics and English.
3. Matriculation / Foundation: Pass with minimum CGPA 2.00 from 4.00 or equivalent.
4. Diploma / Advanced Diploma (Level 4 or 5 MQF): Pass with minimum CGPA 2.0.
5. DKM / DVM: Subject to Senate / Academic Board approval.
6. DLKM: Subject to Senate / Academic Board approval.
7. Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.

Additional Requirements

• International students: CEFR Low B2 or equivalent.
