Course Overview

The Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering aims to equip students with various set of skills such as troubleshooter and problem solver via technical investigation, ready-to-apply hands-on skill and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team. The students are expected to be ready for the job market as an expert workforce in various industries as they have undergone various technical skills courses such as Programmable Logic Controller, Electro Pneumatic, Electrical Installation, AutoCAD, Microcontroller, etc. on top of electrical and electronics engineering courses during their tenure years at the university. The graduates are expected to be a stand-out person as the program has been designed to enhance their affective and soft skills for personal development.

Entry Requirements

General Requirements

• Malaysian citizens who possess a valid Identity Card (MyKad).
• Must have obtained the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) with at least:
  • Grade C in Bahasa Melayu.
  • Grade E in History.
  • TWO (2) Credits (Grade C) in any other subjects not already counted above.

Specific Requirements

• Obtain at least a Grade C in Mathematics.
• Obtain at least a Grade C in TWO (2) of the following subjects:
  • Design & Invention / Additional Science / Computer Science / Engineering Drawing / Mechanical Engineering Studies / Chemistry / Physics / Science / Electrical & Electronic Engineering Studies / Sustainability Studies / Agriculture / Biology / Technical Communication Graphics / Civil Engineering Studies
• Obtain at least a Grade E in TWO (2) of the following subjects:
  • Additional Mathematics
  • English

OR

• Obtain at least a Grade E in ONE (1) of the following subjects:
  • Mathematics
• Obtain at least a Grade C in THREE (3) of the following subjects:
  • Design & Invention / Additional Science / Computer Science / Engineering Drawing / Mechanical Engineering Studies / Chemistry / Physics / Science / Electrical & Electronic Engineering Studies / Sustainability Studies / Agriculture / Biology / Technical Communication Graphics / Civil Engineering Studies
• Obtain at least a Grade E in TWO (2) of the following subjects:
  • Additional Mathematics
  • English
