Course Overview

Studying physiotherapy as an undergraduate prepares students to help improve the quality of life and overall well-being of individuals with physical impairments or disabilities. Students learn techniques and exercises to help patients recover from injuries, manage chronic conditions and improve physical function.

The programme also helps students develop communication, critical thinking, problem-solving and interpersonal skills required for effective patient care. Students are exposed to areas such as rehabilitation, clinical practice, patient management and professional development in physiotherapy.

  • 1,200 hours of clinical placement training in hospitals and healthcare centres as required by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).

Achievement

Tuition Fee

  • Current tuition fee: RM90,000.
  • Special fee: RM60,000.

Other Fees

  • Non-refundable application fee: RM300.
  • Refundable caution deposit: RM2,000, payable with Semester 1 fees.
  • Resource fee: RM500 per annum.

Entry Requirements

STPM / Matriculation / Equivalent Programmes

Equivalent programmes include Foundation in Science, Pre-University Programme or its equivalent.

  • Pass with minimum GPA ≥ 2.33 in TWO (2) of the following subjects: Biology, Physics / Mathematics, Chemistry.

A-Level / Equivalent Programme

  • Pass with minimum Grade D in TWO (2) of the following subjects: Biology, Physics / Mathematics, Chemistry.

Unified Examination Certificate (UEC)

  • Pass with minimum Grade B5 in FIVE (5) subjects including Chemistry, Biology / Physics, and 3 other subjects.

International Baccalaureate (IB)

  • Pass with minimum score of at least 24 points including Chemistry and Biology / Physics.

Diploma from recognised institutions

  • Pass with minimum CGPA ≥ 2.75 in related field; or
  • Minimum CGPA < 2.75 in related field with minimum 3 years / 36 months working experience in related field.

Notes:

  • Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian government may be considered.

English Competency

Malaysian Students
