Course Overview

Universiti HELP offers its own home-grown LLB programme known as the HELP Bachelor of Laws (Honours) which can be completed entirely at University HELP. This comprehensive Malaysia law degree opens doors to numerous opportunities in the field of law.

The LLB programme is recognised by the Malaysian Legal Profession Qualifying Board. Graduates of HELP’s LLB programme are eligible to pursue the Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) and understand a variety of legal statutes and regulations.

Graduates who complete the HELP law degree will also be granted the opportunity to enroll in selected postgraduate Master’s programmes at the ELM Graduate School, which offers a range of courses catering to various interests and careers. This enables them to broaden their understanding of civil law, justice, and the ability to navigate various legal jurisdictions.

Achievement

Recognised by the Malaysian Legal Profession Qualifying Board for entry into the Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP).

Curriculum

Programme Details

  • 2 hours of lectures and 1 hour of tutorials per week for each subject with additional of 32 hours of blended-learning activities in a long semester (14 weeks)
  • 3 hours of workshop per week for a practical subject in a long semester (14 weeks)
  • 2 hours of lectures and 2 hours of tutorials per week for a substantive subject with additional of 21 hours of blended learning activities in a short semester (7 weeks)
  • 6 hours of workshop per week for practical subjects in a short semester (7 weeks)
  • 3 semesters per academic year with two (2) long

Entry Requirements

Entry Requirements

MUET Band 4

AND any of the following:

  • A pass in STPM, with a minimum Grade C (GP 2.0) in any TWO (2) subjects; or any equivalent qualification; OR
  • A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Jayyid (good);
  • Any qualifications equivalent to Diploma (Level 4, MQF); or any equivalent qualification;
  • Matriculation/Foundation qualification with a minimum CGPA of 2.0 out of 4.0; or any equivalent qualification.

* All results must be obtained in ONE EXAMINATION SITTING as stipulated by the Malaysian Legal Profession Qualifying Board.

A credit in Bahasa Melayu at SPM is required for students intending to practise Law in Malaysia as required by the Malaysian Legal Profession Qualifying Board.

For JPA recognition, students must have completed their CLP.
